Want to make a child’s holiday bright?Gift the gift of reading. Holiday memories are made of stories. From reminiscing with friends to reading a favorite book as a family, stories help make the season bright. A generous donation of $30 will ensure a child receives a new, carefully selected book in their mailbox each month for a year. A donation of $150 provides a child with the gift of reading from birth to age 5. All gifts will support Wyoming Valley children in need.
Donations can be made in honor or memory of a loved one and we will send them a card to let them know that a donation was made in their name.
Your donation is tax deductible and supports United Way of Wyoming Valley’s strategic plan to increase early grade reading proficiency.
FREE BOOKS FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5
The Imagination Library will help you read with your child. There are many reasons parents do not read to their child, but we can eliminate one of them. Every child will have books of their very own, at no cost to you, thanks to United Way of Wyoming Valley.
Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to your home. He/she can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library until he/she turns five years old as long as you remain a resident of the Wyoming Valley. Should the child move outside the Wyoming Valley, he/she automatically exits the program.

The Imagination Library
is a FREE GIFT to our children!
All you have to do is read to your children.
All families in the Wyoming Valley with preschool children (from birth to the child's 5th birthday) are eligible to enroll in the program; however, through strategic community partners and an intentional outreach and marketing plan, at-risk families will be a focus of the effort.
