Operation Dream: A day of caring & Awards Event
The United Way of Wyoming Valley will hold its 21st Annual Day of Caring on Wednesday, May 29. This year, Day of Caring will be held in conjunction with our Awards event to create Operation Dream: A Day of Caring & Awards Event. We encourage any community member that wants to learn more or get involved with the United Way to join us for a fun-filled day. All individual and corporate donors are encouraged to attend the Operation Dream breakfast and to partake in a Day of Caring project. Campaign teams are also encourage to attend as we will be highlighting and presenting awards to those who put forth extraordinary effort toward the community campaign.
Day of Caring is a one-day community wide volunteer effort is designed to bring people together by spending a full day participating in various volunteer projects. Last year, over 700 community members completed more than 40 projects for area non-profit agencies. In addition to the participation of these local companies, many local students, community volunteers, and other non-profit agencies rolled up their sleeves and assisted in projects last year.
Whether you are from a non-profit looking to submit a project or a community member who wants to learn more or help out in the community, please fill out the appropriate forms to participate in this amazing day!
