combined federal campaign (CFC)

Mission

To promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

History

Commitment to the community has been the tradition of the Combined Federal Campaign since the early 1960’s.  Federal employees saw a need to effectively bring fundraising efforts under a single umbrella – one campaign, once a year.  Employees are given the opportunity to help hundreds of worthy causes by selecting from a single guide and making their contributions through payroll deduction. CFC has become the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign.

Locally

The 2008 Luzerne/Columbia Counties CFC Campaign concluded December 15th, with amazing numbers and a new record! Despite the hard economic times contributions of over 1,500 federal employees totaled $179,958.94, an all-time high.  There was a 13% increase in dollar amount and a 10% increase in participation over last year’s campaign.

To all federal employees, Thank You for making this campaign a tremendous success.  You are truly a “STAR” in someone’s life.
