  • Campaign Incentives Fun!

We're thankful for Anne Opiela, who donated to United Way, and in turn won an incentive prize of a 2-minute shopping spree donated by Wegmans. We're incredibly grateful that Anne decided to donate her winnings to help women in need through Ruth's Place. And we're overwhelmed by the generosity of Anne's employer, Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies who then agreed to do a gift card donation in addition to the $651.37 which was the grand total of Anne's spree.

A very special thanks to Wegmans for being such a consistently generous supporter of United Way of Wyoming Valley!

When Tatiana Simmons showed up for her housekeeping team meeting at Mohegan Sun Pocono last December, she learned that her ticket had been selected for a 2-year lease on a brand new MotorWorld Toyota, the grand incentive prize for donating to United Way's 2017 Campaign! Tatiana says she works multiple jobs, and wants to start college but couldn't afford a car to get there. She immediately Face-timed her mom who she says instilled in her the importance of giving back to her community. Thanks to Tatiana and to our strong supporters at MotorWorld Toyota.
